Look for Biblical Teaching
A healthy church preaches from the Bible — not just motivational talks. The pastor should regularly open Scripture and explain what it means and how it applies.
Find a Place That Welcomes Questions
Especially as a new or returning believer, you need a community where honest questions are welcomed, not dismissed. Doubt is part of the journey.
Look for Genuine Community
A church is more than a Sunday service. Look for small groups, community events, and people who actually know each other's names and lives.
Give It Time
Finding the right church can take a few visits. Don't give up after one Sunday. Attend a few times before deciding if it's the right fit.
